Quiet Whispers

As artists we look for inspiration everywhere. When we spend time outside, nature provides us endless inspiration. In this class we will explore some of the beauties found in our own backyards, flowers and birds. I will share with you some of my favorite techniques for bringing these beauties to life. We will work mainly in watercolor, but I will also show you how I add touches of mixed media to my paintings for extra detail and textures. 

When we take the time to quietly observe the world around us we can find beauty in the simplicity of our own lives. The happy feeling you get when sitting among a patch of sunflowers or the exciting rush you get when a hummingbird visits your garden, these are experiences we can capture in our art.
